PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an article constituent body by which a square-shaped body for furniture and the like, i.e., a constituent material having high strength in longitudinal and lateral directions can be manu factured simply and efficiently. SOLUTION: An article manufactured body comprises a main body 1 formed in a flat board manner, a surface material 2 stuck to one side face of the main body 1, and folded grooves 3 and 4 wherein a pair of grooves are carved by being arranged from one side face of the main body 1 to the other side face in a thickness direction of the main body 1 in almost the central part of the main body 1. The main body 1 is folded by a pair of folding grooves 3 and 4 so that other side faces of the main body 1 correspond to each other, and other side faces of the main body are allowed to abut against each other and integrated.
