PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feeder capable of moving a table at a high speed without deteriorating dustproof performance by surrounding a ball screw in a sealed state by dustproof covers. SOLUTION: This feeder is provided with a base 10 having a guide surface 10a, a movable carriage 11 movably arranged along this guide surface 10a on the guide surface 10a, a nut 12 fixed to the movable carriage 11, the ball screw 13 rotatably supported by the base 10 with a shaft as the center by threadedly engaging with the nut 12, a driving motor 21 for rotating the ball screw 13 and the dustproof covers 14 and 15 being arranged so as to be freely extensible-contractible in the shaft direction of the ball screw 13 and respectively independently surrounding the ball screw 13 exposed to both sides of the nut 12 in a sealed state. A through hole 12c in the shaft direction of the ball screw is formed in the nut 12. Both sealed spaces formed by the dustproof covers 14 and 15 are communicated via the through hole 12c.
