摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save a space for the whole facility, to restrain temperature drop of a preheated ingot and to realize a safe operation. SOLUTION: An ingot M is shifted to a charging device 40 from a preheating device 10 for holding and preheating plural ingots M, and charged one by one into a melting and holding furnace 30 with the charging device 40. The preheating device 10 is rotated with a horizontal stocker shaft 13 as the center and provided with a stocker 14 for holding one ingot M and annually arranging many racks 16 and a drum-like casing 12 for holding this stocker 14. The charging device 40 is provided with a chute 41 for charging the ingot M into the melting and holding furnace 30 by receiving the ingot M from the preheating device 10 and successively, turning. A buffering mechanism 60 for preventing spattering of the molten metal when the ingot M is charged by stopping the drop of the ingot M at two steps, between the chute 41 and the molten metal M1.
