PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder in which cleaning can be carried out in clean state at all times by scraping off dust, captured by a cleaning means, at every time of reciprocal scanning of a carriage and the time and labor for removing dust are not required. SOLUTION: The ink jet recorder 1 recording on a recording medium P by ejecting ink from a recording head 7 while carrying the recording medium P by means of a carry roller 3 and scanning the recording medium P by means of a carriage 14 comprises a drive roller 13 and a cleaning roller 11 for cleaning the recording face of the recording medium P, and a blade 12 for removing dust 17 adhering to the cleaning roller 11 wherein the drive roller 13 and the cleaning roller 11 are located on the upstream side of the recording head 7 in the carrying direction of recording medium. |
