PURPOSE: Provided are a toothpaste composition useful for preventing a carious tooth and its producing method by using deodorized garlic extract. CONSTITUTION: The toothpaste composition useful for preventing a carious tooth comprises an effective amount of deodorized garlic extract, sorbitol, distilled water, polyethylene glycol, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, sodium lauryl sulfate, calcium carbonate, silica, maltose and peppermint, in which the deodorized garlic extract is added in the amount of 0.5 to 10.0 wt.%. The method of producing the toothpaste composition comprises the steps of: dipping fresh garlic in a sodium alginate solution to deodorize it; pulverizing the deodorized garlic; adding distilled water into the pulverized and deodorized garlic and centrifuging the solution to produce the deodorized garlic extract; and adding 0.5 to 10.0 wt.% of the deodorized garlic extract into the common toothpaste composition.
