METHOD FOR ASSIGNING PHYSICAL CHANNEL OF MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for assigning a physical channel of a mobile communication system is provided to increase resource utilization of an RACH(Random Access Channel) by assigning an efficient physical channel in case of considering a reuse factor for the RACH among uplink channels used for transmitting data from a terminal to a base station. CONSTITUTION: For transmitting data from a terminal to a base station in case that the reuse of a PRACH(Physical Random Access Channel) is considered, an access preamble(AP) is transmitted using one among 16 signatures AP#s(s=0,...,15) and one(SC#m) among PRACH preamble scrambling codes assigned in a corresponding cell. A self message is transmitted using a PRACH message portion scrambling code having 1:1 corresponding relation with the PRACH preamble scrambling code(SC#m) used in the access preamble(AP) when the AP is approved in the base station.
