SUBSTANCE: unit of steering drive of artillery shell has case, air vanes opening through grooves in case air-tightened by shields with collars and mechanism of attachment of shields coming in the form of fixing screws installed in case and blocks placed in through holes of shields which are mounted with cams in grooves of vanes from one butt which are cut on side of their end chord and screwed to shield through tightening spacers from the other butt. Collars of shields are manufactured in the form of shock absorbers and shields are installed with clearance in longitudinal direction relative to case and have blank grooves where front edges of vanes are located. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of structure of shell thanks to reduced load on shields when shell is fired. 1 dwg
