PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stabilization of ignitability of a burner of a cooking appliance by suppressing generation of a lifted flame in a thermocouple burner port. SOLUTION: A cooking-appliance burner comprises a burner main body A and a burner head B assembled with each other, and a number of ports 1 around the periphery and a combustion chamber 2 for heating the thermocouple. In the burner, a throttling part 8 with a weir 9 is provided to both ends of a gas-inlet part 3 into the combustion chamber 2 to form the part 5 for heating the thermocouple in a slow-down port.
