PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of printing an image corresponding to printing information without having the content of the picture corresponding to this printing information known by a person other than a user despite of the absence of a storage device for storing the printing information outputted by a host computer if the printing information is outputted to the printer by operating the host computer by the user when the host computer is comparatively separated from the printer. SOLUTION: The printer provided with a scanner part has an input means for inputting printing information, a ciphering means for ciphering the inputted printing information and a first printing means for printing an optical reading code in accordance with the ciphered printing information. When the scanner part reads the printed optical reading code, the read optical reading code is decoded and the image is printed, based on the decoded printing information.
