PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the generation of color reproducibility difference and both-side density difference. SOLUTION: This both-side image forming device has transfer members 8a and 8b arranged to be opposed to each other while putting 1st and 2nd intermediate transfer belts 2 and 4 in between, is equipped with an intermediate secondary transfer means 8 for collectively secondarily transferring 1st and 2nd images T1 and T2 respectively formed on the belts 2 and 4 with different polarities to both sides of recording material 5, and provided with belt holding members 9a and 9b for stretching and laying the belt 4 on both sides of the member 8b on the belt 4 side of the transfer means 8. In the device, the surface of the member 8b is positioned nearly on the orbit of the belt 4 stretched and laid by the members 9a and 9b. The device is equipped with a post-transfer processing means 10 arranged to be opposed to the member 9b on the downstream side of the transfer means 8 and imparting charge by which the image T2 is stuck to the recording material 5. |
