<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for acquiring a URL set provided by an Internet retrieving engine/agent and displaying the summary of a web site related to the URL set by a format which can be easily read out and understood. SOLUTION: When Internet retrieval is executed (S50), the retrieved result 32 is displayed on a display device 21 (S52). A retrieving server 15 identifies the URL of contents of the result 32 (S54), gives priority to the extraction order of the URL (S56), extracts the URL (S58), and fetches and accesses the contents of the URL. Then the server 15 summarizes an HTML item (S62), converts the item into a page description language(PDL) (S64) an prepares the layout of the PDL summary to be displayed (S68). When the processing of all ULRs is judged to be completed, the layout of the PDL summary prepared for display is outputted (S72).</p> |
