PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal body inspection device, capable of executing stable inspection by keeping a sensor holder at an equal distance and in parallel with a metal test body. SOLUTION: A sensor head 1 follows vertically by a vertical sliding mechanism 8, relative to vertical fluctuation of a steel plate 4. When the steel plate 4 waves in the longitudinal direction, longitudinal direction tracing mechanisms 9a, 9b are rotated around the fulcrum and copy the inclination. When the steel plate 4 waves in the width direction, width direction tracing mechanisms 10a, 10b are rotated about the fulcrum and trace the inclination. The inside of the sensor head 1 has a structure, capable of passing the air. The air is supplied from air supply ports 2a, 2b, passed through the inside of the sensor head 1, jetted out from air exhaust nozzle 3a, 3b toward the steel plate 4, and floats the sensor head 1 by the reaction force.
