SEA WATER EXCHANGING BREAKWATER CAISSON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sea water exchanging breakwater caisson capable of reducing both the intrusion rate of waves on the outside of a bay to the inside of the bay and the reflection factor of waves and sharply increasing a sea water exchange quantity. SOLUTION: This sea water exchanging breakwater caisson 24 provided to partition the outside and inside of the bay is provided with a run-over apex 27 nearly equal in height to the average tide level on a caisson inner side face 25 of a caisson lower body 23, a sea water guide slope 29 inclined at a required downward grade toward a caisson outer side face 28 from the run-over apex 27, and a wave suppressing wall 31 extended vertically upward, with its lower end 30 made nearly equal to the average tide level 26, at the upper proximity position of the caisson outer side face 28 of a caisson lower body 23.
