METHOD FOR PREPARING DATA BASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily construct a data base for advertisement broadcasted by a radio wave. SOLUTION: An advertiser 17 sends sound data to be used for advertisement for a radio broadcast and information concerned with the advertisement from a registration site 16 of Internet to a bookmark retrieving engine 10. The engine 10 pads advertisement ID for identifying the advertisement as a watermark and returns the ID padded sound data to the advertiser 17. The advertisement broadcasted by a broadcasting station 12 is received by a receiving station 18, the watermark in broadcasting is extracted and sent to the engine 10 together with receiving time information. The watermark and the receiving time information are registered in a DB 1. A user can perform retrieval concerned with the advertisement by storing the broadcasting time of the advertisement by a bookmarker 4 and transferring the stored time information to the engine 10. The engine 10 automatically stores the watermark and the time information supplied from the receiving station 18 to construct the DB 1.
