PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake hold-down assembly equipped with a spring and a holding pin for the brake mechanism of a vehicle brake and the like, capable of suppressing overstress applied to the spring receiving a compressing action when attaching and detaching the assembly as small as possible, and preventing the spring from being inadvertently detached from the holding pin by surely making them engaged with each other. SOLUTION: This brake hold-down assembly 30 suitable for the brake mechanism has the hold-down spring 31, and the spring 31 can suppress excessive stress as small as possible while being easily detachable. Slots 40, 42 having openings at their ends are provided in the leg parts 35, 37 of the spring 31 respectively. The assembly 30 also has the holding pin 33, and the pin is engaged with each slot in order to fix the spring in a locking state after mounting it. The spring 31 is preferably formed into a P-shape having a structure that each leg part 35, 37 is connected by a circular arc part 39.
