PURPOSE: An Internet information and advertisement vending machine system using a public telephone card and a cellular phone and method therefor is provided to easily and conveniently retrieve various information at high speed using the cellular phone and use retrieved information by using the information vending machine connected with a server by a charge settlement processing method. CONSTITUTION: A public telephone card recognizing/discharging unit(35) recognizes an amount of money of an inserted public telephone card and informs an information use balance. A key input unit(25) inputs retrieval words and instructions. A computer system(22) is connected with an Internet information system network for registering new information and provides stored corresponding information to a portable telephone line network according to retrieval instructions inputted from the key input unit(25). A CRT terminal(30) displays retrieval information provided from the computer system(22). An interface unit is connected to the portable telephone line network and the CRT terminal(30) for interfacing a digital line of a portable telephone. A microcomputer control unit(32) controls the key input unit(25), displays an amount of money and a corresponding information use time recognized in the public telephone card recognizing/discharging unit(35) on a screen of the CRT terminal(30), subtracts an amount of money according to an information use charge, and blocks the connection of the CRT terminal(30) and a server when an amount of money does not exist. |
