PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical medium and a luminous body that are compact and capable of obtaining desired illumination. SOLUTION: A luminous body is provided with a light source 1, and an optical medium 2 covering the light source 1. A concave portion 6 of a well-type for installing the light source 1 is formed in the optical medium 2. The concave portion 6 of a well-type is constituted by a bottom portion to be incident surface 2, and the sidewall of the concave portion 5 formed continuously with the bottom potion 2. The optical medium 2 is additionally provided with an irradiation surface 3 for irradiating light, and a light-transmitting portion 4 for connecting the incident surface 2 with the irradiation surface 3. |
