PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium in which only users whose disclosure levels are preliminarily and personally set among specific users can utilize recorded information corresponding to their disclosure levels under an environment in which the users use a general recording medium like in a PC(personal computer). SOLUTION: In this recording medium, root directory information c1 having directory information indicating that only a root directory is existing and a plurality of pieces of root directory information cn to cN which are hierarchized by correlating them to a presentation level (n) are prepared. When a user is an authorized user and has a proper assigned presentation level (n), this access control method enables the user to access the root information of a corresponding presentation level (n) according to root directory arrangement information en and to access to its recorded information, but when the user is not an authorized user and has an improper presentation level, the method makes the user access to the root directory information c1 having only the directory according to root directory access information (a). |
