PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct the abrasion test of a covered electric wire by reproducing the environment as much as possible, when mounted on an automobile. SOLUTION: Both ends of the covered electric wire 3 inserted freely with a bellows tube 2 are fixed to a support frame 4 with the wire kept at a nearly horizontal attitude, and vibrations in the axial directions P and Q are applied to the covered electric wire 3 for testing by a vibrator 5 in this state by this abrasion testing method of the covered electric wire. The abrasion test can be conducted on the same conditions as the actual on-vehicle conditions.
