PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead wire member for a sheet-shaped thin battery such as a polymer battery which has a plastic film durable with an electrolyte solu tion and without hygroscopic property firmly bonded to both sides of a given position of a ribbon-shaped metal of a given length and has no fear of water infiltrating into an electrolyte solution from the bonded part of the plastic film nor of the electrolyte solution leaking. SOLUTION: A lead wire member for a sheet-shaped thin battery such as a polymer battery is constructed by bonding an olefin resin film on both sides of a given position of a ribbon-shaped metal cut in a given length with thermoplastic elastomer adhesive containing metal-bonding agent utilizing resistance heat generation by feeding electricity to the ribbon-shaped metal.
