PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce turning up of pantiles by strengthening the functions of horizontal and vertical ribs for preventing the pantiles laid in place from being blown away by wind intruding through the mating parts of the pantiles. SOLUTION: The horizontal rib is provided on the surface of a pantile body and the upper part of the head side end of the pantile is changed in shape from a beveled shape to an inversely curved shape. Alternatively, the horizontal rib and the vertical rib are provided on the surface of the pantile body and the upper portion of the head side end and the upper portion of the style side end of the pantile are each changed in shape from a beveled shape to a shape curved in forward or backward direction.
