TREATMENT METHOD OF SULFUR DIOXIDE GAS AND EQUIPMENT THEREOF

PURPOSE: A treatment method of sulfur dioxide gas is provided, which uses oxidizing force of hydroxy radical thus simplifying the constitution of equipment by eliminating large equipments such as reactor. The resulting sulfuric acid can be reused so that the process can solve environmental problem together with recycling of resources. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises as follows: (i) collect sulfur dioxide gas; (ii) produce gaseous material containing hydroxy radical; (iii) react the sulfur dioxide gas with the gaseous material for forming sulfur trioxide; and (iv) react the sulfur trioxide with water for forming sulfuric acid.
