The device for applying a label (2) to a CD (3) so that their centers of gravity lie along the same axis comprises a cylindrical holder whose walls (5) have a slightly larger diameter than that of the disk. The label is held in the container by spring-loaded pins (4) around its circumference and the disk lowered on to it with the walls acting as guide. An Independent claim is included for a method for applying a label to a CD using the device.
