The thermostatic valve has a membrane(15) tightly encompassing the pin(7) which moves the valve component(6) and which by its periphery(16) is clamped pressure tight in the valve housing(2). The membrane is fitted on a step(11) in the bore of the valve housing and pressed against it by a holding down device(17). The holding down device is penetrated by the pin and has a circular shape with a diameter the same as the membrane. An annular groove(18) is formed on the generated surface of the holding down device to support a sealing ring(19).
