The system uses automatic driverless operation with auxiliary periods for braking, acceleration and stops able to run substantially in parallel and hence be eliminated from the travel time altogether. A feeder enables boarding and disembarking after coupling then decoupling and the continuing train is unaltered in composition, at least in the central part, so that all services can be used as before.
