The sensor has a disc-shaped piezoelectric element (2) arranged on the end face of the tubular component (1) and fixed firmly around its circumference. The element is subjected to bending due to the fluid pressure present in the tubular component. An electronic evaluation circuit (17) produces a pressure signal based on the changes in the electrical characteristics of the piezoelectric element caused by the bending. The tubular component is closed by a metal diaphragm at its end face, the bending of which is transmitted to the piezoelectric element.
