A cable-adjusting mechanism on the tensioning loop of a ski-binding having a wire cable 4 comprises an adjusting wire helix 7 constituting a flexible hollow screw, a nut 3 secured to the loop, the adjusting wire helix 7 being adapted to be rotated relative to the nut, and a nipple 6 attached to the end of the cable and forming an abutment for the wire helix. A protective core 5 may be provided. A knurled sleeve 8 may be attached to helix. In one arrangement the device is attached to a bifurcated member 1, but in an alternative arrangement this is replaced by a wire helix. The device may be used with a known type of rotary disc beneath the heel of the ski-boot, or attached directly to the ski-boot. |
