<p>A transformed bacterial host capable of expressing a pectate lyase enzyme endogenous to a strain of Thermotoga maritima, especially a Bacillus or E.coli host cell, is useful in a method for producing the Thermotoga maritima pectate lyase. The Thermotoga maritima pectate lyase is useful for industrial use, e.g. for treatment of textiles.</p> |
