A plastic film (10) has a coating of a thermoformable radiation curable lacquer (12). Independent claims are included for : (i) a process for coating a substrate (18) preferably a wooden object or material by application of the film (I) onto the substrate, thermally forming the lacquer and hardening by means of radiation; (ii) a process for the production of the film (10) coated with the coating (12) by application of the coating (12) onto the film (10) by means of an extruder.
