The combination valve has a valve element (26), which is held in its open position by a resetting spring (56) and a setting mechanism (12) for operating the valve element in dependence on the room temperature and the temperature of the heating medium. The resetting spring and the setting mechanism act on a valve shaft (40) provided with an axially movable valve plate (42), acted on by a closure spring (44).
