The outer legs (2) have a J-shaped slot (21) into which pegs on the inner legs (3) are fitted. With the pegs resting in the curved end of the slot, the table surface (1) is horizontal; with the peg at the other end, the surface is tilted. The pegs rest in slots (23) when the table is folded flat.
