METHOD FOR ISSUING AND USING CHARGEABLE PRE-PAID CARD USABLE IN OFF-LINE AND ON-LINE

PURPOSE: A method for issuing and using a chargeable pre-paid card usable in off-line and on-line are provided to enable a card to be used in both off-line and on-line and use existing credit card terminals. CONSTITUTION: A user accesses to a web site provided from a server which is managed by a credit card company through a predetermined network and becomes a member of a card. The credit card company receives contents written in the user's application form. The credit card company issues a card to the user through the web site. The user charges the issued card with money through the web site or a predetermined bank. The credit card receives contents of the user's card money charged from the web site or the predetermined bank. The user expresses his/her intent ion to purchase an article in an actual member store of the card or a virtual member store of the card. The actual member store or the virtual member store confirms whether the pertinent card is certified through the network by the credit card. If the certification is completed, the user's article purchase is carried out.
