PURPOSE: An exterior type switch for connecting a general telephone with a VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol) telephone and a telephone using the same are provided to simultaneously perform the general telephone and the VoIP telephone by simply connecting the exterior type switch to a transmitting and receiving telephone or a handsfree telephone. CONSTITUTION: The first audio terminals(13,14) are connected to an audio input/output terminal of a handsfree telephone, and the second audio terminals(9,10) are connected to an audio input/output terminal of a PC. The third audio terminals(2,3) are connected to a headset or an earset. A signal processing unit(7) is installed between the third audio terminals(2,3) and an analog signal switch(11) for attenuating and amplifying an audio signal. The an analog signal switch(11) sets an input/output path between the first audio terminals(13,14) and the third audio terminals(2,3) according to the first switching operation to control the operation of a general telephone, and sets an input/output path between the second audio terminals(9,10) and the third audio terminals(2,3) according to the second switching operation to control the operation of a VoIP telephone.
