GENOMIC DNA OF APHID-SYMBIOTIC BACTERIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a genomic DNA of Buchnera sp. which is a symbiotic bacterium inside the body of aphid. SOLUTION: All sequences of the genomic DNA are disclosed. All genes (608 genes except a plasmid) included in a base sequence of the chromosome are represented. The gene comprises (a) DNA selected from the group composed of DNA having a base sequence in the position from the starting point to the terminal of each represented gene and a complementary DNA thereto or (b) DNA hybridizing with the DNA in (a) under a stringent condition and coding for a protein having a same function to an expression product of the DNA.
