PURPOSE: An electron gun and color CRT using the same is provided to reduce deflection aberration caused by left and right deflection of electron beam, by attaching a disk-shaped magnetic piece to the bottom surface of the shield cup. CONSTITUTION: An electron gun comprises a cathode arranged in line; a plurality of electrodes installed in sequence from the cathode, and which have electron beam passage holes; a shield cup(70) coupled to the electrode positioned at the end from among plural electrodes, and which has three electron beam passage holes(71,72,73) formed in line; and a deflection aberration correcting portion arranged at the shield cup in such a manner that the deflection aberration correcting portion is positioned above between the center of the central electron beam passage hole and centers of left and right electron beam passage holes. The deflection aberration correcting portion is constituted by a plurality of magnetic pieces(81,82,83,84) formed at the bottom surface of the shield cup.
