PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable covering agent such as an ink, a coating, etc., which may be decomposed under natural environmental conditions such as in soil, etc., and a covered material obtained using this covering agent. SOLUTION: The biodegradable covering agent contains at least one biodegradable resin chosen from polylactic acid, cellulose acetate, polyvinyl alcohol, polycaprolactone, polybutylene succinate and polyethylene suceinate, and an edible colorant.
