<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air belt device wherein tension produced in a shoulder belt is transmitted to a lap belt as well when an air belt is expanded, so that both the shoulder belt and the lap belt are tightly fitted to an occupant. SOLUTION: The lap belt 3 is combined with the shoulder belt 2 having an expandable part 2a, and the lap belt 3 is inserted into an insertion hole 15 of a tongue 5. When an inflator 10 is operated, the bag 8 of the expandable part 2a of the shoulder belt 2 is expanded, the length of a mesh webbing 7 is reduced, the lap belt 3 connected to the mesh webbing 7 is pulled to the shoulder belt 2 side, and the lap belt 3 moves the air belt insertion hole 15 to the shoulder belt side by a desired length. Then the tip side part 8a of the bag 8 is drawn out of an insertion hole 16 of the mesh webbing 7.</p> |
