PURPOSE: A process for preparing steamed bread is provided by adding a pine needle extract as an additive to wheat flour when wheat flour is kneaded, thereby, the titled steamed bread having improved taste and flavor to suit a modern's taste is produced. CONSTITUTION: A mixture of wheat flour, food additives and pine needle extracts is mixed in a specified ratio, kneaded, aged for a specified time in the first stage, cut to a specified size, inserted with red bean sediment and formed. The formed bread is aged for a specified time in the second stage and steamed to provide the titled steamed bread containing 40% by weight of wheat flour, 30% by weight of red bean, 20% by weight of sugar, margarine and other food additives, 0.5% by weight of pine needle extracts and 30% by weight of red bean sediment.
