PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording medium which has an outstanding anti-forgery/alteration function and superb surface protective properties and durability to surface friction with other advantages that it is extremely difficult to forge/alter an image recorded by this medium and the design characteristics and distinguishing properties are excellent. SOLUTION: This image recording medium is constituted of a support 10, an information bearing layer 11 formed on the former and at least a high refractive index layer 12, a scaly pigment layer 13 and a transparent resin layer 14 arranged on the layer 11 in that order. Further, on the support 10, the high refractive index layer 12 and the information bearing layer 11 are formed on the support 10 and in addition, at least the scaly pigment layer 13 and the transparent resin layer 14 are formed on the layer 11 in that order. A transfer foil is constituted of an adhesive layer, the high refractive index layer 12, the scaly pigment layer 13, the transparent resin layer 14 and the support 10, formed in that order. The method for forming the image recording medium is to transfer the transfer foil to the surface of the card support 10 and the information bearing layer 11 with the help of a heating roll and release the support 10 for the transfer foil and further, apply/cure a UV cured layer. |
