PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably prevent a film, particularly both sides of the film, from becoming thick at the time of applying a coating liquid on a web by restricting the quantity of the coating liquid to be discharged from both sides of a discharge ports of a die head. SOLUTION: This die head 10 is provided with a die 11 of one side and a die 12 of another side engaged with the die 11 of one side and forming a discharge port 18 with the die 11 of one side. The discharge port 18 between the die 11 of one side and the die 12 of another side is composed of a central discharge port 18a and a pair of side discharge ports 18b disposed on both sides of the central discharge port 18a. The slit gap H2 of the side discharge port 18b is made smaller than the slit gap H1 of the central discharge port 18a. The quantity of the coating liquid discharged from the side discharge port 18b in the coating liquid discharged from the discharge ports is thus restricted.
