PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent tea spilled from a tea strainer from splashing on a locking portion of a tea strainer container. SOLUTION: A drive shaft 43 is integrally rotatably inserted in a shaft bore 38 formed in a bearing portion 33 of a funnel 30. The circumferential wall of the shaft bore 38 has a window hole 39 opened therein, in which a locking pawl 40 is integrally formed. When the locking pawl 40 is elastically fitted to a circumferential groove 44, the funnel 30 is borne against dislodgment by the drive shaft 43. A bank portion 50 is formed about the place where the window hole 39 is formed. The bank portion 50 extends from the upper edge to substantial middle of a sloping plate 32 in planar chevron form with an acute top, and both skirt portions extend down to the lower edge of the sloping plate 32 while holding the window hole 39 in between from the front and back. Even if tea left soaking into tea leaves spills from a tea strainer 27 and flows down the sloping plate 32 while the funnel 30 is inverted into a disposal position for the disposal of the tea leaves, the bank portion 50 prevents the tea from flowing into the window hole 39 where the locking pawl 40 and the like are located. |
