PURPOSE: An electric furnace for melting glass is provided to minimize environmental pollution by using electricity instead of an existing heavy oil, obtain the internal structure of the electric furnace in which a heat is stably installed and maintained inside the electric furnace, efficiently discharge the melted material to the outside when a melted material is flown out inside the electric furnace, and more easily put in and take out a crucible installed in the electric furnace. CONSTITUTION: The electric furnace comprises a body(100) in which a plurality of firebricks are laid up to form the wall body; a heating chamber(110) which is formed inside the body(100), and in which a melted material stored crucible is installed; a plurality of electric heaters(111) which are installed on the inner wall of the heating chamber(110) for heating the crucible; and a discharging hole which is formed at one side part of the floor of the heating chamber(110) for discharging a melted material flown out from the crucible to the outside of the heating chamber, wherein the floor of the heating chamber is inclined downward from other side part to the one side part on which the discharging hole is formed, and vertically extended installation grooves are formed on the inner wall of the heating chamber so as to install the electrical heaters therein.
