PURPOSE: A driving method of an AC type PDP(Plasma Display Panel) is provided to stabilize a display by realizing addressing less influenced by variation in operational environment without increasing a withstand voltage of circuit parts. CONSTITUTION: An address period(TA) for performing addressing is divided into plural sub-periods(TA1,TA2), and a different row is to be selected in each sub-period. In each sub-period, concerning a second electrode of the row selected during the period, the bias is changed over to a selected potential(Vya1) or a first non-selected potential(Vya2) according to selection or non-selection. Also, a second electrode selected during the following sub-period of the sub- period is maintained at a second non-selection potential(Vua3) closer to an address potential(Vaa) than to the first non-selection potential(Vya2).
