PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sanitary Western style flush toilet having a rim which is hardly stained and rarely producing malodor or the like. SOLUTION: A Western style flush toilet main body 1 comprises a bowl part 3 and the open rim 8. The open rim 8 has a rim water passage 7 in its interior. A cleaning device 2 capable of discharging cleaning water is provided on a rear part of the toilet main body 1. Water discharged from the cleaning device 2 is used for cleaning the bowl part 3. An inner face 9 of an inside wall part 8b of the open rim 8 is flush with a bowl surface 3a of the bowl part 3.
