PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot air heater provided with an overheating preventing mechanism which can cope with the local occurrence of overheating and an air cleaner or another hot air heater. SOLUTION: The hot air heater 1 is provided with a heating means which heats supplied air, a blowing means which blows the air heated by means of the heating means as hot air, and an air outlet 6 from which the hot air is blown out. The heater is also provided with an overheating detecting means and an overheating preventing means which controls the operations of the heating means and/or blowing means so as to ease an overheating state when the overheating state is detected by means of the overheating detecting means. As the overheating detecting means, two or more sensors 21a and 21b are arranged at a distance from each other on the air outlet 6 and its vicinity. |
