PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sort originals with high accuracy and satisfactory workability in the case of sorting black-and-white originals and color originals. SOLUTION: This original sorter is provided with an image read means 2 for reading image data from the original, on which an image is drawn, an original identifying means for identifying the original as black-and-white image when a color component signal comprising these image data belongs to any one of specified color space expressing a specified color and a black-and-white space expressing an achromatic color and identifying the image as color image in the other case, and original sorting means 3, 4 and 5 for sorting the original, from which the image data are read, on the basis of the identified result. |
