PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a management unit that totally manages a distribution resource of contents and can reserve the distribution resource even from distributed contents providers. SOLUTION: Respective reservation states of capacities of a satellite broadcast, an Internet broadcast and an Internet archive are displayed (701, 702, 703 and 704) so as to recognize absence of reservation. A list of all contents managed by a system is displayed. The list display consists of a contents list 705 and a display 706 displaying details of the contents selected on the list 705 and assignment information. By dragging and dropping an item displayed on the list 705 to an idle area of the reservation state displays 701-704, the distribution resource can be assigned. By changing the length of the assigned area, a reservation date and time and its period can be adjusted. The distribution resource can similarly be reserved through the remote control from a contents provider device.
