PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information reproducing device which can restart reproduction by rapidly outputting actual information after information reproduction is stopped in restarting the reproduction from the information continuous with the information outputted when this information reproduction is stopped. SOLUTION: This device has a pickup 1 which reads the information recorded at an optical disk DK, a track buffer memory 3 which temporarily accumulates and outputs the read information and a control microcomputer 6 which stops the reproduction while accumulating the information in the track buffer memory 3 when the instruction to the extent of stopping the reproduction is made from outside during the reproduction of the information and which restarts the reproduction by outputting the information accumulated in the track buffer memory 3 when the instruction to the extent of restarting the reproduction is made from outside.
