PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple assembling method which lessens the imbalance of rotating segments of a magnetic disk device without increasing necessary spaces and lessens the deformation of disks by a heat history, etc. SOLUTION: This device has a hub which is mounted at a spindle motor and supports the magnetic disks and a disk clamp which fixes the magnetic disks to the hub by interposing spacers between the magnetic disks and has annular elastic members, such as O-rings, between the disk clamp and the disk media. The disks are fixed by maintaining specified spacings which are uniform in a circumferential direction in the inner bores of the disks via the elastic members such as the O-rings, without direct contact with the opposite surfaces of the hub.
