CYLINDER LINER FOR WATER-COOLED ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder liner adapted to the specifications of an engine for simply modifying cooling performance. SOLUTION: The cylinder liner 1 for a water-cooled engine fixed in a cylinder block 10 is formed in a double structure with a liner outer cylinder 1A and a liner inner cylinder 1B internally fitted to the liner outer cylinder 1A. The liner outer cylinder 1A is faced directly to a cylinder jacket 4 and a cooling moderating space 2 is provided between the liner outer cylinder 1A and the liner inner cylinder 1B for moderating cooling performance. The cooling moderating space 2 is faced to the cylinder jacket 4 via the liner outer cylinder 1A.
